Hey! Tell us about yourself and a fun fact.
Hey! My name is Andrew, and I'm the founder of Mixily, a tool for creating meaningful events. I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, where I learned to love camping, Southern food, and staying up late on the computer. In between working on startups, I recently moved to NYC and studied creative writing.
What motivated you to start your company?
I love bringing people together, and I wasn't satisfied with any of the existing event hosting tools. They're all either clunky, aesthetically limited, or locked in to platforms people are trying to move away from. At Mixily we're building software that's joyful to use and makes it easy to create a beautiful event page.
How do you acquire users and grow your company?
It turns out event hosts are very social people! After using Mixily in our personal networks, it grew quickly from there through word-of-mouth. Back in the early days of quarantine, we also sponsored a series of really innovative live theater performances for Zoom. That was a way to help support the arts community and brought some new folks to Mixily as well.
What is your future goal?
We want to become the best way to host every kind of event.
